Day 7

Subject: [firstname]: Do you suffer from FOMO?

Hey [firstname]!

Do you suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out)? More importantly, do your customers suffer from FOMO?

There's a good chance they do – which is good news for you. You see, fear of missing out plays into the herd instinct that comes down from our caveman ancestors. Back then, you didn't want to miss out on hunting a deer or a mammoth in case you went hungry.

Nowadays, you don't want to miss out on what other people are enjoying for fear of not getting a good deal, or not knowing what everybody else is talking about.

There's a very powerful tool you can use to tap into and harness this emotion. It's called scarcity. By limiting the quantities of an item you sell (even if it's a digital one) you encourage people to make a buying decision sooner rather than later for fear of missing out. That's also why dime sales are so effective. People don't want to miss out on a good deal and buy quickly for fear of missing out on the low price.

Wow! We've covered quite a lot over the last week or so. Let's just recap:

We discussed the importance of having a mailing list and why having one (and using it correctly) can be crucial to your business success. We talked about how restaurants get you to spend more money, and how you can adopt those techniques in your online business. We covered the importance of video in boosting your sales and a neat trick to guarantee your website conversions keep improving.

But there's so much more I just haven't had time to tell you about – like using coupon codes to boost sales, and the importance of good customer service. I cover it all in detail (and more) in my guide to boosting your online sales. It's still available, but not for much longer. Don't miss out! Grab your copy now from [link to sales page].

To your success!
